History

Ardea Technologies was established in Guelph, Ontario, in 1988 by Walter Wegner, an expert in industrial control systems particularly in the field of water treatment.

The business grew rapidly with several moves within Guelph before settling at 90 Monarch Road. After Walter passed away in 2004, the business was led by Andrew Barlow who ran a successful operation until 2014. In July of that year, Ardea Technologies joined forces with Long Bridge Inc. of Cambridge, Ontario, to significantly increase their collective capacity and capabilities. With the successful transition of ownership and integration of these two companies, a strong alliance was created.

In February of 2017, the Ardea Technologies Family of Companies acquired IDT Systems to form one of the largest systems integration and control panel manufacturers in Canada.

The Ardea Technologies family brings together the combined resources of over 37,000 square feet of manufacturing space, seventy multi-disciplined staff and adramatic purchasing power to ensure the best value for our customers in the design and manufacture of control panels.

Throughout our history we have maintained a high level of quality with on-time delivery, thanks to our dedicated and skilled workforce and highly experienced project managers, many of whom have been part of the organization since day one.
